A Soviet vintage educational poster depicting the animal world of the Sahara Desert. Geography teaching aid from the collection of a retired teacher, used in classrooms in Ukraine. Original vintage item, 1973 design, reprinted in 1985 in RSSR.

The poster features beautifully detailed illustrations of specific animals adapted to the harsh condition of the Sahara Desert:
    • Dromedary / One-humped Camel (Одногорбый верблюд): The large mammal dominating the left side.
    • Addax Antelope (Антилопа аддакс): The pale, spiral-horned antelope grazing in the centre foreground.
    • Saharan Horned Viper (Рогатая гадюка): The snake depicted coiled on the sand.
    • Fennec Fox (Фенек): The small desert fox with oversized ears, shown walking on the upper right.
    • Black-backed Jackal (Чепрачный шакал): The wild canine standing at the bottom right.
    • Desert Birds & Gazelles (Рябки и газели): Flying sandgrouse in the centre and distant gazelles near the oasis.
