Soviet vintage educational poster depicting the animal world of South American savannas and steppes. Geography teaching aid from the collection of a retired teacher, used in classrooms in Ukraine. Original vintage item, 1973 design, reprinted in 1985 in RSSR.

The poster features illustrations of various animals commonly found in South American savannas and steppes:
- Pampas Deer (Ozotoceros bezoarticus): A medium-sized deer adapted to open grassland habitats.
- Coypu / Nutria (Myocastor coypus): A large, semi-aquatic rodent shown near the water's edge.
- Guanaco (Lama guanicoe): A wild camelid native to South America and the ancestor of the domestic llama.
- Nine-banded Armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus): A solitary, nocturnal mammal encased in protective bony armour (depicted just above the guanaco).
- Greater Rhea (Rhea americana or Nandu Ostrich): A large, flightless ratite bird native to the open plains.
CONDITION:
Good vintage, natural patina from classroom use — a genuine piece of Soviet-era educational history. Light wear to top edge secured from the reverse with a small piece of archival tape. Please enlarge photos for details.
